It Girl Blogger Tavi Gevinson Spills Her Millennial Beauty Secrets
In talking to Tavi Gevinson, it's clear to me that she is much more put together than I was at 19. She is the editor in chief of her own magazine, Rookie. She sits front row at major runway shows like Dior and Rodarte. And this Summer, she'll be gracing magazines as an ambassador for Clinique's new millennial beauty campaign (#LifeGoals). The new #FaceForward initiative features youthful influencers like Tavi, Hannah Bronfman, and Margaret Zhang to repromote the brand's classic three-step regimen. The trio represents the diverse and driven face of the next generation as well as the future of beauty.
"This campaign is about being optimistic for the future, and I relate to that because a lot has happened in my life very quickly," Tavi said in our recent interview. Of course, she's referring to the fact that she was considered a fashion darling as a preteen and starred on Broadway at just 18 years old. Now, she is living a much more relaxed life in NYC — one where she shops at Sephora and works from bed. Recently, I had the chance to talk to the It girl about her daily makeup regimen, her current fashion obsession, and more. My one conclusion: Tavi is way cooler than I will ever be, and here are seven solid reasons why.
