Shade: Nighthawk

Initial thoughts: "Dark berry shades are my go-tos! I have really blond hair and fair skin, so I love the way that dark shades make my features pop."

Outcome: "Nighthawk has a bit more brown in it than I thought I could pull off, but I actually really loved the way it looked."

Shade: Jilted

Initial thoughts: "I usually shy away from pink shades since I feel like they're too girlie for my edgier style. And since they tend to veer on the warmer side, I like sticking to cooler shades that complement my skin tone."

Outcome: "I love that Jilted is a more blue-based pink, so it had the right undertone to flatter me.
