Ashley Graham once told us "confidence starts from within and it radiates out," and while we couldn't agree more, it also doesn't hurt to have a little extra help in the beauty department to make you feel like your best, most confident self. The same goes for feeling sexy naked — a quick hair change, a spritz of perfume, or a swipe of lipstick can go a long way.

For Graham, positive affirmations and some self-tanner give her the boost she needs, whether she's dressed to the nines for a red carpet or stripped down for a photoshoot, but it's different for everyone. To find out what works for you, we rounded up a few expert-recommended beauty tips for feeling sexy naked, so you can shed those layers without any reservations.

Tip #1 For Feeling Sexy Naked: Use Self-Tanner Strategically

In the words of Graham: "A rockin' tan — that's hot." Applying self-tanner on your entire body is great for an all-over glow and looking sexy naked, but you can also selectively enhance certain areas. "When I'm working with my celebrity clients, I always love to use self-tanner to help accentuate the parts of their bodies that already naturally make them feel most sexy and confident," celebrity tanning expert and Tan-Luxe ambassador Alexandra DiMarchi told POPSUGAR. "I'll use self-tanner to help highlight the natural contour of their legs and sometimes even add some definition."

Tip #2 For Feeling Sexy Naked: Give Your Hair a Zhuzh

Giving your hair a quick touchup can impact your mood in a big way. Just think about how great you feel walking out of the hair salon after a fresh blowout — you stand a little taller, hold your head a little higher, and feel your own confidence radiating from the inside out.

There's no need to break out the hot tools to get a sexy hairstyle, either: "It is very easy to make unwashed 'bedhead' hair sexy," said Ashley Streicher, celebrity hairstylist and Garnier brand ambassador. "To achieve this, spray a bit of Garnier Fructis Invisible Dry Shampoo ($5) — I like the coconut one — onto the roots of your hair and give yourself a little head massage, getting all your roots moving to help absorb any oil. Next, I section out the front of my hair, mostly the hairline. I take a small round brush and smooth it out while also getting some volume. This gives the illusion that you have a fresh blowout, and done."

Tip #3 For Feeling Sexy Naked: Highlight Your Neck and Chest

A quick and easy way to highlight (literally) your naked body is by carrying your highlighter down your neck and onto your chest. Swipe the same powder or cream formula that you use on your cheekbones onto your collarbone and the tops of your shoulders for a boost of radiance. You can also look for body-specific highlighters. We like the Patrick Ta Major Glow Highlighting Mist ($32) to spray on a little shimmer to your chest and the rest of your body.

Tip #4 For Feeling Sexy Naked: Soften Up

Soft, hydrated skin is incredibly sexy — bonus points if it also smells delicious. "Another favorite trick of mine is to add a few drops of the Tan-Luxe Super Gloss ($49) to your body lotion, and then apply it all over for an instant, illuminating finish," said DiMarchi. "Sometimes all it takes to feel instantly sexier is just an added touch of glow."

Tip #5 For Feeling Sexy Naked: Swipe on a Lip Stain

Lipstick can get a little messy, if you know what we mean. Instead, celebrity lash expert Dionne Phillips said to opt for a lip stain or long-wearing formula that won't transfer so "you're not re-applying." We like the Benefit Cosmetics Lip & Cheek Stain and Tint ($18), which can also be used to add a little color to your cheeks — the ones on your face, we mean.
