I'm no stranger to Moroccanoil products. I've used the treatment oil and frizz shield spray, but the Moroccanoil Hydrating Shampoo ($26) may just be my new favorite. Powered by argan oil, which can help retain moisture while fighting the effects of hair aging, this shampoo helped my curls feel bouncy and hydrated every time I washed my hair. It's also formulated with algae and vitamin A, which work together to protect against dryness while keeping hair moisturized. The product also made managing my hair an easy feat.
The Moroccanoil Hydrating Conditioner ($26) added the perfect amount of shine to my hair every time I used it. I would apply it from the middle of my hair to the ends and leave it on for a few minutes before rinsing it out, and in that short amount of time, my hair felt brand new. After letting it air dry, I noticed how moisturized my hair felt and looked — my usual frizz was nonexistent. The best part? It helped relieve any pre-wash scalp itchiness.
Pureology Hydrate Shampoo and Conditioner
I instantly loved how creamy the texture of the Pureology Hydrate Shampoo ($37) felt as I lathered it throughout my curls. With creamier products, I typically expect myself to use more than just a dime size amount — as it's never enough to cover my thicker hair. This time, a little bit went a long way. I used it from my roots to my ends, and my hair instantly felt smoother and intensely nourished. My hair has never felt so soft.
The Pureology Hydrate Conditioner ($37) became my favorite product to use before straightening my hair. It smoothed out my curls, making the straightening process a breeze — and there was no frizz in sight. Better still, I didn't have to worry about it stripping vibrancy from my color-treated hair. My hair felt soft, moisturized, and healthy by the end of my hair-washing ritual. Bottom line: it's a game-changer.
Dae Signature Shampoo and Conditioner
Shampooing my hair with the Dae Signature Shampoo ($28) was a transformative experience. It instantly helped my dry strands feel hydrated and full of moisture without stripping my hair of its natural oils or weighing down my curls. The long-lasting post-wash shine was also unmatched. I'd be remiss to not mention how good this shampoo smells with its signature citrus scent. Working this product into my hair and creating a generous lather was easy, so there was never the lingering worry about product residue, which, from my experience, can lead to added dryness.
I've seen the Dae Signature Conditioner ($28) on my Instagram and TikTok feed and was very pleased with how well it cleansed without stripping my hair. As I lathered the product through my hair, I noticed how gentle the formula was, as well as how amazing it smelled. Ingredients like moringa leaf extract, coconut oil, and false daisy extract aids in reducing flakiness and calming the scalp when it's irritated. My favorite part about this conditioner is how smooth and moisturized my hair and scalp felt sans the greasy feeling similar products have often left behind.

The Fable & Mane HoliRoots™ Hydrating Shampoo ($30) is silicone-free and lightweight — not nearly as heavy as other shampoos I'm used to. At first, I was a little worried that this shampoo wouldn't work well with my curly hair that can often feel dry due to frequent heat use. However, I was pleasantly surprised with how much the shampoo's ingredients, like tiger herb and coconut, hydrate and visibly thicken hair while managing any scalp dryness or flakiness. After using it, I noticed (and absolutely loved) how smooth my hair felt — not to mention how much more manageable it was. It doesn't hurt that this shampoo also left my hair smelling really good.
