I see a lot of new brand launches land in my inbox, but an email about a new skin-care line called Bubble that was designed for teenage skin, with the help of teens, really piqued my interest. Not just because the products made sense — they're affordable, easy to understand, and simple — but because the brand looked incredibly fun, which is exactly how skin care should feel.

Bubble launched in November with seven products — a cleanser, a makeup remover, a toner, two moisturizers, a face mask, and a face mist — all priced affordably under $20. The products come in playful, brightly colored blue, orange, pink, and green packaging, but what's on the inside is even better. Bubble is plant-based, sustainable, cruelty-free, vegan, and made without harsh ingredients or chemicals. Unlike other brands that just say they're for teens, Bubble actually enlisted the help of thousands of teenagers to collect feedback on what they want out of a brand. Then, during the formulation process, it partnered with Hyram Yarbro, aka the Instagram- and TikTok-famous skin-care enthusiast behind the account Skincare By Hyram.

"Because life as a teen today is more complicated than ever — their skin-care routines shouldn't have to be," Shai Eisenman, CEO and founder of Bubble, said to me in an email.

Because Bubble knows mental health and skin can be closely related, the brand is also using its platform to champion mental health services for teens. Bubble partnered with BetterHelp to offer 50 percent off online therapy with each customer's first purchase and will continue to donate a percentage of profits to mental health organizations focused on Gen Z. A brand that makes trendy and affordable products and cares about mental health — what more could you want?

With all of that in mind, I absolutely had to try out the products for myself, and while I'm not a teen, I'm a big fan nonetheless. Check out my full review of Bubble skin-care products ahead.

Bubble Wipe Out Makeup Remover

The Bubble Wipe Out Makeup Remover ($13) is unlike any makeup remover I've ever used before. Instead of your typical micellar water or cleansing oil or balm, this one has a creamy texture that melts away makeup. It's made with meadowfoam seed oil to hydrate skin and chickweed extract to soothe skin.

After working it into dry skin, it took off my base makeup products without any issues, but my stubborn waterproof eye makeup was a bit more challenging and required a second application.

Bubble Fresh Start Gel Cleanser

Next up is the Bubble Fresh Start Gel Cleanser ($16). The key ingredients in this cleanser are spearmint extract to refresh skin, red algae extract to reduce oil, aloe leaf juice to reduce redness, and lavender flower water to soothe. It's a thin gel formula sans fragrance that works into a light lather when it comes into contact with water. After using it, my skin felt comfortable and clean but not dry or tight.

Bubble Break Even Balancing Toner

After cleansing, I used the Bubble Skincare Break Even Balancing Toner ($16) to remove any leftover dirt, makeup, or cleanser residue. The key ingredients in it are green tea extract to soothe and reduce inflammation, niacinamide (vitamin B3) to brighten, and willow bark extract to gently exfoliate the skin. It has an easy push dispenser top that eliminates the risk of spills or wasting product. Even though it's exfoliating, it feels like a hydrating toner and doesn't irritate the skin.

Bubble Slam Dunk Hydrating Moisturizer

Bubble Slam Dunk Hydrating Moisturizer

Bubble has two moisturizers: the Slam Dunk Hydrating Moisturizer ($15) and the Level Up Balancing Moisturizer ($15). I used the hydrating option because I tend to have dry skin in the winter. With aloe leaf juice, vitamin E to hydrate, and avocado oil to soften, this product gets the job done and leaves skin feeling comfortable and hydrated. It has a lightweight, nongreasy formula and wears well under makeup.

Bubble Bounce Back Refreshing Toner

Unlike the balancing toner that's meant to be used after cleansing with a cotton pad, the Bubble Bounce Back Refreshing Toner ($12) is designed for midday touchups and to fight shine and oil that tends to pop up. It features the same key ingredients as the former but this time is packaged in a spray formula. Halfway through the day, I gave this a spritz, and it made my skin feel hydrated without messing up the finish of my makeup.

Bubble Come Clean Detoxifying Clay Mask

Bubble Come Clean Detoxifying Clay Mask

The Bubble Come Clean Detoxifying Clay Mask ($19) comes in a fun rounded container with a small brush for mess-free application. The purifying mask is formulated with montmorillonite, a mineral-rich clay to help draw out dirt from pores; azelaic acid to smooth uneven texture; and vitamin E to protect against environmental aggressors. It also has a purple hue, which makes the mask perfect for selfies.

After applying a thin layer, you let it dry for 10 minutes before rinsing it off. What I loved most about this clay mask is that while it does dry down, it doesn't get hard and uncomfortable, and it washes away easily.
