Chrissy Teigen Said She's Removing Her Breast Implants Because She's "Just Over It"

Chrissy Teigen is as honest and open as celebrities get, and we commend her for it. Because of this, it really shouldn't be to anyone's surprise that she announced her latest piece of news with such candidness: she's having surgery to remove her breast implants.

Teigen took to Instagram to share the update with her followers on May 27 in an effort to answer some questions people had about a recent tweet. "I posted myself getting a covid test on the twitter, as I'm getting surgery soon," she wrote in the caption. "A lot of people are understandably curious (and nosey!) so I'll just say it here: I'm getting my boobs out! They've been great to me for many years but I'm just over it. I'd like to be able to zip a dress in my size, lay on my belly with pure comfort! No biggie! So don't worry about me! All good. I'll still have boobs, they'll just be pure fat. Which is all a tit is in the first place. A dumb, miraculous bag of fat."

Her news came after she posted a video of herself getting tested for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) on Twitter, which understandably prompted some questions. She then explained that she wanted to get her implants removed prior to the pandemic outbreak but her plans were put on hold for the last few months. Now that she's moving forward with the procedure, getting tested for the coronavirus was required before the surgery.

Teigen's post has since been met with a flood of support from her fans with people commenting things like, "I'm so insanely glad you're sharing about this," and "I've been thinking about doing the same thing!"

It's a refreshing change from the plastic surgery shaming we are so used to seeing in the industry.
