Dior Stands With Women - Ashlee George & Lorrie Fair Allen ( CTAOP)
Christian Dior, and its current artistic director Maria Grazia Chiuri, have long been championing feminism through their designs and powerful runway shows. But placing women's rights front and center isn't just something left to the fashion side of the company. On Tuesday, Dior Parfum launched its new campaign "Dior Stands With Women," an initiative that features an impressive lineup of 10 women, from all different walks of life, to share their inspiring stories.
Through a series of short filmed portraits, Charlize Theron, Cara Delevingne, Li Bing Bing, Golshifteh Farahani, Pamela Tulizo, Carole Biancalana, Leyna Bloom, Parris Goebel, Paloma Elsesser, Yalitza Aparicio, and Marina Cavazzana all shared how they continue to try and make an impact on the world around them in an effort to inspire others. Alongside the short films, Dior Parfum announced that it will be continuing its long-time partnership Charlize Theron's Africa Outreach Project (CTAOP).
The CTAOP aims to promote the education and empowerment of young people in South Africa. The initiative grants scholarships to cover four years of tuition fees, board and lodging, books and travel, a laptop, and individual mentorship and leadership support. "Today, Christian Dior Parfums has made a commitment to cover the scholarships for the upcoming 2021 CTAOP Youth Leaders Scholarship Program for a period of four years," Dior said in a statement.
"Whether they are unknown to the public or internationally famous, they are each as passionate and committed and have all worked to make an impact on the world. Today, they proudly share their journeys as examples that can inspire other women," the statement continued. Check out the series of filmed portraits ahead.
