Dua Lipa's Chain Nails Are a Maximalist's Dream

Dua Lipa is back with more nail inspiration. The singer posted a picture of her latest manicure on her Instagram Story, and it's safe to say that she is back to loving maximalist nail art.

Lipa, who has been traveling all over the world with her "Future Nostalgia" tour, finally made a stop in New York City to see one of her favorite nail artists state-side: Mei Kawajiri. Captioning the picture, "we back baby," Lipa showed off her new nails, which featured a pop-art-inspired chain detail. Her nails were filed to a soft oval shape and contained a black base coat to start. Then, yellow chain-linked nail art was added to each finger, in addition to white pop-art stars to give the look a fun, cartoon-like feel.

Lipa has been known to have quite a bit of fun with her nail-art looks and has been seen in everything from Kawaii to water droplet nails, with the latest look only cementing her love for maximalist manicures. While Lipa has been a longtime fan of more eye-catching details, maximalist nails are predicted to be a huge trend this fall. To get the look, there are a few options to consider. "Think decals, metallic foils, nail stickers, gold cuffs, chains, spikes, and even 3D shapes," Brittney Boyce, celebrity nail artist, Orly brand ambassador, and founder of Nails of LA, previously told POPSUGAR. Boyce also recommends nail wraps and press-ons to easily get the look at home. If you need further inspiration, take a closer look at Lipa's nails ahead.
