Huda Beauty Just Launched Glowish, and It's My Dream Summer No-Makeup Makeup Brand
Huda Beauty is known for bringing the full-coverage glam — but that's all about to change. The brand is expanding with a new makeup franchise specifically for fans of the au naturel look, like moi. During a Zoom event titled "Top Secret," I got to hear from Huda Kattan herself about Glowish and its mission to make you "feel effortlessly confident in your own, natural skin." As someone who loves Huda Beauty's products but also likes my makeup to be more on the natural side, this brand sounded like a dream come true.
Glowish is launching on June 1 at HudaBeauty.com and Sephora, with two debut products (and lots more on the way), as well as two accompanying brushes. The first product is the Multidew Skin Tint, a lightweight, sheer-coverage, ultraglowy base product. It comes in 13 shades that blend to a barely there finish and is waterproof and transfer-proof. Thanks to its radiance-boosting formula, it can be used all over your face or as a highlighter to add an extra boost of shine to the high points of your face.
The second product is the Soft Radiance Bronzing Powder — a soft, powder-to-cream formula that comes in a compact and is applied with a brush. It features a beautiful marbled swirl of light and dark pigment and comes in five shades to fit a wide range of skin tones. The soft powder is meant to last all day and is buildable so you can apply a little or a lot depending on the look you're going for.
It's also worth mentioning that all of Glowish's products are infused with skin-care ingredients from the Wishful line and are made with a minimum of 80 percent naturally derived ingredients and Vegan Society certified. All of the packaging is also made with post-consumer recycled plastic.
Ahead, read my full review of both the Glowish Multidew Skin Tint and the Soft Radiance Bronzing Powder.
Glowish Multidew Skin Tint Review
I was most excited to try the Multidew Skin Tint ($37) because I'm a big fan of Huda Beauty's foundation formulas. After swatching a few shades, I found I was the Light Medium 04. The liquid formula comes in a tube with a pump, so I applied it to the back of my hand before using my fingers to blend it into my skin. As soon as the tint comes out of the tube, you can see just how glowy the finish is. It feels completely weightless on the face and blends easily (I used a damp sponge to smooth it out). It doesn't offer much by the way of coverage, but that's the point — it adds a sheer wash of color to your face and instantly boosts radiance rather than covers blemishes. Despite being super dewy and glowy, it doesn't make your skin look greasy or sweaty, which is a blessing. As someone who doesn't like wearing heavy base products and prefers less coverage, especially as we head into summer, I thought it was perfect. It gives just enough color to match my paler face to my slightly darker body without actually looking like I have makeup on.
Glowish Soft Radiance Bronzing Powder
Even though I was most excited to try the skin tint, I ended up falling in love with the Soft Radiance Bronzing Powder ($31) in shade Medium 02. I never skip bronzer in my routine, but rarely does a formula stand out to me as really amazing — this one did. I swirled a brush in the marble pigment before tapping off the excess and swiping it onto my cheeks, forehead, and jawline. I instantly noticed the velvety-smooth finish. It feels hydrating on the skin as opposed to chalky like some bronzing powders that I've tried. It blends beautifully without looking streaky or the least bit patchy. I layered it over the skin tint for an all-over bronzed look, but I could also see myself applying it on its own this summer to add a little bit of sun-kissed color to my face.
