Halsey's Red Dipped Ends Are the Grammys Hair Detail You Don't Want to Miss

Tonight is the 64th Annual Grammy Awards, and although the stars are still rolling in, Halsey has already stolen the show with her burgundy dip-dyed hair. The singer hit the red carpet in a red and black ensemble that's giving Betty Boop vibes, but their hair had an expected twist.

Hidden under a black Parisian-style hat, you can see a hint of red dipped ends at the bottom of her dark brown hair. "This look was Helmut Newton meets Mugler Dream Queen," says celebrity hairstylist Marty Harper. "We were inspired by her gorgeous dress to create this smoothed out bob with the angular flip at the end — it's truly giving Mugler Girl."

To create the look, Harper used a combination of the TreSemmé One Step Smooth ($6) and the TreSemmé Keratin Smooth Serum ($6) before blow-drying the hair. To lay their baby hairs, he used the TreSemmé Tres Two Extra Hold Gel ($6) around the temples. Finally, for that retro-inspired hair flip, Harper used the Harry Josh Pro Tools Ceramic Flat Styling Iron ($200).

The striking hairstyle is accompanied by a cherry-red lip with dark lip liner and dramatic winged liner. Halsey's expansive tattoo collection is also on full display at the Grammys. They have over 40 pieces of body art, and their sleeveless dress allows them to shine.
