Whether you want to prevent premature aging, treat stubborn hyperpigmentation, or prevent skin cancer, using sunscreen daily is one of the most important steps of your skin-care routine. However, finding the perfect sunscreen that you want to use every day is quite the challenge. Depending on your skin type and needs, you'll want to find a product that won't break you out, doesn't have a weird texture or feel heavy on the skin, won't pill, and won't leave that dreaded white cast. Hero Cosmetics Force Shield Superlight Broad Spectrum Sunscreen - SPF 30

The Hero Cosmetics Force Shield Superlight Broad Spectrum Sunscreen - SPF 30 ($20) has a consistency exactly like a lightweight moisturizer and does not feel like a traditional thick sunscreen. In fact, it absorbed pretty quickly into my skin. The sunscreen has a weightless cream-gel formula that has a light minty green color. However, as I blended it out the color went away giving me an invisible airy shield with no white cast whatsoever. Although I'm not prone to redness, I assume that the green tint helps balance it out. The Hero Cosmetics Force Shield Superlight Broad Spectrum Sunscree has a smooth, skin-like finish that didn't leave my skin feeling or looking too dry or too oily. As soon as the sunscreen fully absorbed into my skin and settled, my skin looked normal with no color changes or weird tints and felt hydrated. My skin truly looked and felt like I just used a regular lightweight moisturizer.

Certain sunscreens cause my skin to look and feel congested to a point where I just want to wash my face in the middle of the day. Sometimes, I even get tiny whiteheads and can visibly notice clogged pores. However, The Hero Cosmetics Force Shield Superlight Broad Spectrum Sunscreen - SPF 30 ($20) felt so breathable and light on my skin, with no heavy, greasiness. In fact, it didn't clog my pores or make my skin look congested at all. If you have acne-prone skin or prefer using weightless products, the sunscreen is a must-try. Not only is it created by the brand that popularized the hydrocolloid acne treatment, the Mighty Patch, but also it's non-comedogenic with an airy texture, perfect for acne-prone skin.
