Jennifer Love Hewitt Dedicates New Tattoos to Her 3 Kids

Jennifer Love Hewitt is expanding her tattoo collection in honor of her kids. On April 12, the actor and artist Victoria Do revealed three butterflies illustrated across Hewitt's upper left arm, as well as tiny finger tattoos scattered across her hands. "butterflies for her kids and some finger adornments for the sweetest @jenniferlovehewitt," Do wrote alongside photos of the intricate, black lines.

Hewitt is clearly a fan of sentimental ink, particularly ones that represent her love for her family. She shares three children with former costar Brian Hallisay, who she's been married to since 2013. The couple most recently welcomed son Aidan James in September 2021, joining daughter Autumn James, 9, and son Atticus James, 7. In addition to the butterfly art for her kids, the actor has a queen bee design on her right forearm. The day she finished breastfeeding, she and Hallisay "went out for tequila and tattoos" to celebrate, she said in an interview with Elle back in 2018.

In the interview, she also shared additional tattoos fans may have missed, including an angel wing on her left wrist dedicated to her mother, who passed away in 2012 after a battle with cancer. She also shared she got a hummingbird on her torso, which is Hallisay's nickname for her. "He's like, 'You're always flitting around!'" she said.

In 2019, Hewitt celebrated her 40th birthday and a big episode for her character Maddie in Fox's "9-1-1" with three new tattoos, revealing a set of palm trees "for me and my love," as well as an evil eye "for protection." While she's been open about most of her designs and their meanings, she has yet to share the details behind a seemingly large tattoo she inked on her back in 2018.
