Katy Perry is here to remind you that body hair is completely normal, and whether or not you choose to groom it is clearly a personal decision. In Perry's case, becoming a new mom has cut down her time to herself, so she's since quit the arduous task of shaving her legs, the "Not the End of the World" singer shared during Sunday night's episode of American Idol. After contestant Cassandra Coleman sang a beautiful rendition of Sigma's "Find Me," followed by a duet of "Apologize" with OneRepublic's lead vocalist Ryan Tedder, judges Perry, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan gushed over the singer's incredible vocals.
"Your voice is a spiritual experience," Perry said after Coleman's performance. "It is otherworldly angelic." She also went on to drive her point home. "As a new mother, I don't have very much time, so I've quit shaving my legs. But when you sang, the hair on my legs grew an inch and a half, so, full body chills. It was amazing." Afterward, Perry, who gave birth to her daughter Daisy last August, proudly showed off her legs and later, on Twitter, joked about her growing leg hair with a very appropriate gif. Watch Perry talk openly about quitting shaving her legs, as well as Coleman's breathtaking performances ahead.
