Does Nina Dobrev Have Any Tattoos? The Answer Might Surprise You

Nina Dobrev's new Netflix comedy "The Out-Laws," has everyone wondering if she has any tattoos — and understandably so. The story follows Dobrev's character Parker MacDermott who's set to walk down the aisle with her fiancé and bank manager Owen (played by Adam DeVine). But much to their dismay, all hell breaks loose when Parker's infamous parents show up to get acquainted with their future son-in-law. What starts as a lighthearted prewedding meeting culminates in a bank robbery that Parker's parents may or may not be involved in.

While the over-the-top plot and silly shenanigans are enough to hook you in, what has rightfully caught many viewers' attention is the sizable tattoo collection Dobrev's fictional counterpart has in the movie. This, naturally, has many wondering if "The Vampire Diaries" star has any ink in real life. To answer your burning question: the Canadian actress does not actually have any permanent body artwork of her own — but that doesn't necessarily mean she won't be getting any in the near future.

During a recent interview on the "Live with Kelly and Mark" show, Dobrev shared that she's considering getting her first-ever tattoo, but only on one condition. She apparently went in on a bet with the movie's director, Tyler Spindel, which might very well result in her getting tatted once and for all.

"In the film, my character has a lot of tattoos," she told the hosts during the July 4, 2023, episode of the talk show. "I have zero in real life, so I spent an hour in the chair every morning applying these fake tattoos. And so I made a bet with the director that if the movie goes to number one worldwide on Netflix that I will get one of the tattoos that my character has on the movie."

Dobrev personally picked out all the fake tattoos that her character wears on screen, but she has a favorite piece that she would likely select to get in real life. "There's a little T-Rex — but an animated one, not like a Steven Spielberg realistic movie — and it's really little, obviously, but it would be my first tattoo ever," she added.

So, there you have it — for the time being, all of Dobrev's tattoos are fake. If you want to see her get some real ink, stream "The Out-Laws" on Netflix ASAP.
