Reyman suggested you ask your stylist to control the length, so curls fall slightly below the shoulder in the front, but graze the shoulder in the back. "Fall is a nice time to go shorter for curly hair — most of the country is less humid," he said.
You will need some products to maintain this look. "Curl is about texture, which is managed by products," explained Reyman. "The best curly cut in the world is a big fuzzy mess without the right product."
He advised a light-hold spray (nothing that will make hair crunchy) for fine strands and a blend of oils and strong-hold products to keep coarse curly strands looking polished.
