These Makeover Videos From MAC Cosmetics Will Make You Cry

A year ago, MAC Cosmetics put out a call for six new faces for its Fall 2015 makeup campaign. But instead of using models, the beauty label started a contest called MACnificent Me, asking its biggest fans to share a photo of themselves and a 100-word life mantra. The brand has unveiled its six winners, starting with Luzmaria Vargas from Anaheim, CA. Read on to learn more about her and her fellow winners!

Luzmaria Vargas

Luzmaria does not see herself as beautiful and struggles with self-esteem issues because of her weight. "Some people just think that because you're overweight, you don't have feelings," she cried, sharing stories of how friends have hurt her in the past. "But look at where I'm at," she said. "I don't need to be a size two — I'm here."

Vanessa Tyese Stewart

The Atlanta native explains that even when she didn't feel like she fit in during her high school years, she stayed true to herself. "When everyone was getting perms . . . that just wasn't me. We're all different, and we're all special."

Trésor Prijs

Trésor hails from New Brunswick, Canada, and admits to struggling with self-esteem issues. "It's amazing to be sitting here, because it means that I am beautiful and I don't need to feel insecure," said Trésor, adding, "If there wasn't any hope, I wouldn't be sitting here right now."

That's why she entered the contest and says that while she was initially nervous to wear the extreme hair and makeup looks in the final video, it quickly became comfortable.
