With the amount of nail photos I take, I always joke that my hands should be insured. And when taking "nailfies" to show off my latest custom manicure, I know it's not always about the artwork — if my hands look dry or uneven in color, it can make for a less-than-appealing photo. Sure, there are plenty of photo apps you can use to perfect your skin, but I really dig Hand MD Restorative Duo ($50).

What I love about it is that it's a serum, so unlike most hand products that are thick and hard to rub in, this formula feels superluxe yet absorbs easily. The star ingredient is retinol, and much like it does for your face, it helps to tone your hands as well. Plus, using the product has made me more conscious about applying sunscreen to my hands.
