Lea Michele's Top Tips For Your Sexiest Spring Yet

A casual scroll through Lea Michele's Instagram feed reveals many of the star's passions — fitness, braids, and clean eating, to name a few — but this Spring, she's teaming up with iconic brand Burt's Bees to raise awareness for an issue that she finds crucial: the decline of the bee population. "It's important right now to let everyone know how much the decrease is affecting our planet, and in the long run, the foods we eat and the environment," Lea told POPSUGAR.

As part of its _ring _ack the _ees campaign, Burt's Bees is imagining a world without bees (look closely — the company has removed all Bs from its name . . . get it?) and launching three limited-edition lip balms ($3 each, available mid-March). Each is flavored with fruits that wouldn't exist without the pollination efforts of honeybees: Wild Cherry, Coconut & Pear, and Lea's favorite, Pink Grapefruit. For every balm purchased, the brand will donate 1,000 wildflower seeds. These blooms provide essential nutrition to the buzzy creatures, and Burt's Bees has a donation goal of one billion seeds.

But well before fronting the campaign, Lea had been aiding the insects every day on her own. "I have a really nice garden in my backyard. It's a little bit of a vegetable garden, there are some wildflowers . . . that's really helpful for the bees to be able to pollinate."

Thanks to _ring _ack the _ees, Lea may be incorporating a new grapefruit-flavored balm into her skin care regimen, but that's not the only thing that's getting an update come Spring. We asked her how she switches up her beauty, fitness, and diet regimens as she transitions from Winter, and her tips are easy for anyone to follow. On Her Hair

She may rock some pretty intricate braids, but when the weather gets warmer, she keeps her strands loose and free. "I really start letting my natural wave come into my hair," she explained. "I'm able to just let my hair dry naturally and I love the natural texture of my hair."

On Her Beauty Routine

Spring calls for a total refresh of her beauty color palette. "In the Winter, I sometimes gravitate to darker lip colors," shared Lea. "In the Spring and Summer, I'll do more peaches and pinks."

On Her Diet

Though she famously embraces the vegan lifestyle, Lea is currently adhering to a more open diet.

"I keep my house completely vegan and always gravitate towards vegan restaurants, [but] I don't limit myself right now to a completely vegan diet," she said. "It is how I like to eat for the most part."

For Spring, she loves snapping up "anything green" from the produce section, naming kale as one of her favorite veggies.

On Her Fitness Routine

Lea incorporates more hiking, swimming, and hot yoga into her workout regimen once the season switches. She also loves getting her sweat on at the beach.

"There's always space when you're at the beach to find little ways to work out," she insisted. "Even if you're walking on the beach, even if you're playing volleyball . . . anything you're doing is a way to be working out and [have] fun at the same time." Lea declared ocean swims one of her favorite pastimes.

In case you haven't noticed, Lea has been visiting SoulCycle a lot lately — and shares each trip with her followers. "Right now, I'm just really obsessed with SoulCycle," she divulged. (You're not alone, Lea! We're big fans, too.) "I've been going every day and I absolutely love it."
