Lady Gaga Embraces Glam-Rock Beauty on the Met Gala Red Carpet

We always expect creative genius from Lady Gaga's Met Gala beauty look, and her style certainly didn't disappoint this year! Makeup artist Sarah Tanno for Nars Cosmetics worked with the musician to create this head-turning creation, which was basically the embodiment of glam rock. "I just wanted her to look like the rock star she is," Tanno told POPSUGAR.

Tanno used Nars Cosmetics Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer ($44) to keep Gaga's skin fresh, then added a touch of pink blush using Nars Cosmetics Dual-Intensity Blush in Fervor ($45). But there's no denying that the star's stunning, orange-red pout was the focal point of her look.

"I wanted a bold, candy-red lip," Tanno explained. The makeup artist lined and contoured Gaga's lips with Nars Cosmetics Lip Pencil in Jungle Red ($22). She then layered on Nars Cosmetics Audacious Lipstick in Lana ($32) and Nars Cosmetics Velvet Lip Glide in Mineshaft (available Fall 2016), which Tanno used to "really make [the lip] as bright as possible."

Lady Gaga's wavy, bleached strands were teased, making her hair almost appear like a lion's mane. While many makeup artists and stylists work independently from each other, Gaga's glam squad creates their masterpieces together. "It's a very collaborative process," Tanno revealed.
