Textured Lob With Long Layers
Thompson is a fan of this popular, universally flattering cut. "It's very chic, fun, and sexy," Thompson said. "This collarbone length is good on many face shapes because it is not too long or too short, yet it still had great shape with the angle through the front." Julianne Hough shows it off perfecly with her shiny blond mane.
What to ask for at the salon: Note that you'd like a collarbone-length cut with long layers and lots of texture.
At-home styling tip: "To style a cut like this, blow-dry the hair straight and curl the hair with a one-inch curing iron or wand," Thompson said. "To create the soft textured curls, wrap the hair around the iron, then comb through with the fingers before the hair has cooled down to soften the wave. Make sure the hair around the front of the face is wrapped away from the face, and alternate which way the hair is wrapped through the sides and back."
