As a blowout addict, I'm constantly asking different stylists which products they love; and everyone seems to agree on one thing: when it comes to hair-styling products, Oribe trumps. I dare you to find me a better texture-enhancing spray than the original Oribe one, which instantly fluffs hair while giving it a cool-girl tousle. On top of that, the products smell like sweet-musky perfume. In fact, the scent has been so popular that Oribe launched fragrances and a candle.

On July 1, Oribe is taking its innovative technology and undeniably luxe aesthetic and branching into five brand-new categories: makeup, skin care, body care, hair-styling tools, and hair accessories. Oribe cofounder and president Daniel Kaner told me that they always envisioned the brand going beyond hair, describing it as "an exotic pro shop."

When asked how long the label has had this in the works, Kaner responded: "That's the million-dollar question. It's been years in the making. We only launch a product once it has met our standard. Our packaging is all custom, which adds considerable time to the project. The brushes are made in Italy and the hair dryer is completely custom, which we have been testing in our salon community for a long time."

Speaking of the packaging, Kaner said it was influenced by the hair care bottles but customized with a twist. "The mother of pearl makeup is exotic and tailored, and at the same time it pushes boundaries ever so slightly," he described. "The designs have the look and feel of faceted crystal. The shapes are reminiscent of the timeless elegance of perfume bottles. We used 'exotic goods' as the code word for the project. There's a sense of beauty and a hint of masculinity."

As a first tester of this major launch, I can confirm that the products live up to the hype. Ladylike lipsticks are creamy and lasting. The skin and body care are absolutely decadent, incorporating the cult Cote d'Azur fragrance. And the hair accessories will make you never want to reach for a plain ole rubber band again.

Keep reading to get a first look at all of the products before they launch. And learn from the pros who created them why each is so special!

"We chose to focus on the core essentials that any woman would want in her makeup bag," said makeup artist Nam Vo. "The result is a curated collection of lipsticks, nail polishes, and cheek palettes that are timeless, but still make a statement. I like to think of them as 'statement basics.'"

"Oribe’s ideal woman is strong, bold, and sexy," Vo described. "The color range of the red, the nude, and the violet are inspired by that Oribe woman."

"All formulas are rich in pigment, treatment based, and long lasting," Vo noted.

When I tested the lipsticks, they look bold and matte, yet felt creamy and nourishing. The color also didn't fade quickly or during a meal.

Illuminating Face Palette, $68

Illuminating Face Palette, $68

"The face palette is an oil-capsuled velvet pigment, which glides beautifully on the skin and is very luminous," Vo said. "The palettes feature three colors that can be worn individually as a highlighter, blush, and light contour or mixed together for a multi-dimensional, light-reflecting effect."

Use it by swirling your brush around all three colors for an overall glow, or separate each shade by highlight, blush, and bronzer. The formula initially goes on a bit sheer but can be built up to create a pop or chisel.

The Lacquer High Shine Nail Polish

When asked about the inspiration for these three color, Vo said: "These three shades are timeless and iconic, statement colors that every woman should have in her color collection." Done.

The glossy polishes feature a long-wear formula that stays shiny for days.

Thanks to a resin complex and plasticizer polymers, the lacquer is less likely to chip.

Plus, the polishes are 8-free. That means they were made without: formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, camphor, DBP, parabens, toluene, xylene, and ethyl tosylamide.

Gold Envy Luminous Face Mask, $95

Gold Envy Luminous Face Mask, $95

When it came to the skin care line, the team wanted to make sure the products were not only pretty to look at but also actually improved skin. "We focused on creating essential products that address radiance, brightness, and signs of aging for the skin care family," said Jessica Friedman, Oribe senior vice president of product development. "The line is designed to prep the skin for makeup."

This face mask does just that by helping moisturize and brighten skin. And what is more decadent than using gold as an ingredient? As you might have suspected, the gilded formula instantly makes skin appear more illuminated.

Daily Ritual Cream Face Cleanser, $45

Daily Ritual Cream Face Cleanser, $45

"A star ingredient in many of the skin care products is caviar lime, which gently exfoliates to reveal a healthier, more luminous complexion," Friedman noted. "Additional ingredients improve radiance, deeply moisturize, and soften skin."

This creamy cleanser has caviar lime to strip off dead skin. It also contains almond oil to nourish, radish root to break down impurities, Japanese bamboo to protect against dehydration, and watercress extract to make your skin feel fresh.

Night Ceremony Ultra-Rich Cream, $115

Night Ceremony Ultra-Rich Cream, $115

When asked what her preferred skin care pick is, Friedman responded, "It’s hard to choose, but my favorite product is the night cream. It is a beautiful, indulgent, and rich formula that absorbs easily and improves brightness and radiance overnight."

In addition to caviar lime, it contains antioxidant-rich raspberry extract, an antiaging oil medley (edelweiss flower, evening primrose, and sweet almond), and pollution-barrier tomato leaf cell extract.

Radiant Drops Golden Face Oil, $105

Radiant Drops Golden Face Oil, $105

This POPSUGAR office favorite — it smells heavenly! — is a must have for travel and having dewy skin. It is made of 13 natural oils, including edelweiss flower, evening primrose, sweet almond, algae extract, rose hips, sea buckthorn berry, cottonseed, and neroli! What is interesting is that is smells more like sweet essential oils than the iconic hair care fragrance.

It's also multiuse. "A great alternative use for the Radiant Drops Golden Face Oil is to nourish and hydrate cuticles," Friedman offered. I also like to put it in my hair . . . because it's still Oribe.

Balmessence Lip Treatment, $35

Balmessence Lip Treatment, $35

One of my biggest questions was: how do the skin and body care products relate to the hair care formulas? "All products and their formulas maintain the same level of performance and attention to detail as the hair products," Friedman said. "Many of our iconic hair care products were developed with expert chemists who specialize in skin care and now have assisted with the formulas for the body care and skin care as well."

This balm is the ideal lipstick prep, because it sinks and smooths out your pucker. Expect a lemon rose flavor that is subtle and a waxy texture that melts down upon touch.

Cote d’Azur Restorative Body Crème, $65

Cote d’Azur Restorative Body Crème, $65

This body cream is amazing since you can bathe yourself in the iconic Cote d’Azur scent. Though in my opinion, it smells just a tinge sweeter thanks to a blend of sweet almond, meadowfoam, and starflower oils (which, of course, also soften your skin). Shea butter and a medley of additional oils (olive, jojoba, and grapeseed) offer antioxidant and antiaging benefits. You'll want to slather this on after a luxurious bath.

Cote d’Azur Replenishing Body Wash, $42

Cote d’Azur Replenishing Body Wash, $42

I appreciate that my hair won't have all of the fun in the shower anymore. This new body wash has that same cult-favorite Cote d’Azur scent in the form of a pearly cream. It makes skin feel buttery thanks a blend of oils (sweet almond, meadowfoam, starflower, soybean, rice, and passionflower) mixed with amber extract.

The Imperial Pro Hair Dryer, $348

The Imperial Pro Hair Dryer, $348

"The Imperial Pro Hair Dryer is lightweight, compact, and powerful," explained Kien Hoang, Oribe director of training and content. "It has ion technology, which helps reduce static and frizz while speeding up the drying process. It's a sleek and beautiful dryer that brings quality and performance to both the stylists behind the chair and our clients at home."

Flat Brush, $226

Flat Brush, $226

This cushiony brush features a mix of boar and nylon bristles. The Mason Pearson just got some serious competition!

Large Round Brush, $187

The Round Brush also has boar bristles, which help hair look shinier and more voluminous.

Medium Round Brush, $170

Medium Round Brush, $170

There is a sectioning pin at the end of the brush to help separate hair while styling.

Geometric Gold Plated Metal Pony, $65

Geometric Gold Plated Metal Pony, $65

You can also now accessorize your hair with Oribe! The gold pieces are minimal yet eye-catching. "Our goal was to create accessories that are not only useful tools, but also an attempt to translate the timeless aesthetic of the Oribe brand into beautiful pieces of jewelry," explained designer Alex Wiederin. "We wanted to use the same clear lines we use in Oribe Hair Care packaging but translated in a different way."

Geometric Gold Plated Metal Hair Stick, $80

Geometric Gold Plated Metal Hair Stick, $80

Hoang offered fun advice for how to style this piece: "Use Dry Texturizing Spray throughout hair and twist loosely in the back, anchoring with the Geometric Gold Plated Metal Hair Stick to create a Bardot updo."
