The marbled look may seem difficult, but we promise: if you follow the steps, these homemade nail decals are easy to create.

Start by applying a base coat on the nails.
Apply a white polish over the base coat.

Pick out your favorite shades of pink and red to get the perfect Valentine's Day manicure.

Fill a small bottle cap with room temperature water. Pro tip: filtered water works best.
Drop a bit of each color into the filled bottle cap.
Use a toothpick and carefully drag it through the middle of the cap to form a heart.
Let the polish masterpiece dry inside the caps for about 1-2 hours.

After the polish is dry, make sure the design is detached from the cap before you remove it.
Carefully remove the design from the cap with tweezers.
Let the designs rest on a paper towel to soak up any excess water.

Before putting these stunning decals on your nails, apply a topcoat over the white polish to help the designs stick better.
Carefully press your decal onto the nail.

You can use a cuticle pusher to ensure your design is on tight.
In addition to the pusher, you can use 100 percent acetone to clean the excess polish around the nail.
Also, file the top of your nails to clean up the extra polish around the tip.

Apply a fast-drying topcoat.
