The weekend I thought I was getting engaged (spoiler: I did!), I rocked an Essie Gel Couture nail art look, courtesy of the great Miss Pop. My fiancé proposed on a hike during an active weekend in Vermont. There were many reasons for my manicure to chip, but it stayed intact throughout the week. And as a true gel-lover (the Essie version is actually more like a longwear nail lacquer since there is no UV light used), I was impressed.

The six-shade range is just as dreamy as I'd hoped. Highlights include a perfect peony pink with just a hint of gold shimmer, a stunning rose gold metallic, and a gray-green shade that's unexpectedly cool for Spring.
