Is It Halloween Yet? Nikkie Tutorials Has Convinced Us to Go as Wonder Woman

After seeing the new Wonder Woman film, we're all planning to dress as the kickass hero for Halloween. Beauty blogger Nikkie Tutorials is no exception and showed us exactly how to transform into the comic-book character to celebrate the girl-power-filled film.

Nikkie decided to go the 2D route and applied her makeup in the style of a comic rather than modeled after the Wonder Woman from the film. Using black and white liquid liners, Nikkie transformed herself into the heroine. The results are ultra impressive, and we're starting to practice the technique now to prepare for our next cosplay opportunity.

Don't skip applying a base.

Nikkie applies MAC Paint Pot in Soft Ochre to her lids before applying any eye shadow. Applying an eye shadow primer or cream shadow to your lids prior to the rest of your eye makeup will allow the powder to adhere to your lids and last longer.

Try appyling your crease color first.

Nikkie applies her crease color first because it's the darkest. This way the dark color doesn't cover any other eye makeup she put on prior. She blends out the bold color with a clean brush, which makes it easier to buff out.

Highlight your eyes.

Next, Nikkie applies a light, shimmery shade to below her brow bone and the inner corner of her eyes. This makes her eyes appear bigger, just like comic characters.

Next, apply your lighter shadow.

Nikkie applies a metallic gold eye shadow to the inner three quarters of her eye. The darker color isn't covered by the gold in her crease or the outer portion of her lid, keeping her eyes defined.

Draw on the liquid eyeliner.

To accentuate her eyes, Nikkie uses a liquid eyeliner to draw dramatic wings on her eyes.

Create a comic-inspired cut crease.

To really dramatize her eyes, Nikkie draws a line in her crease with liquid eyeliner.

Extend your eye with makeup.

To look more like a comic-book character, Nikkie takes a white eyeliner and draws a larger tear duct in the corner of her eye.

Outline your newly extended eye.

Nikkie takes a black eyeliner and outlines the new tear duct.

Use shadow on your lower lashes.

Nikkie blends a brown shadow on her lower lash line.

Line your lower lashes with liquid liner.

Nikkie finishes outlining her eyes with the liquid liner over the brown shadow.

Apply falsies for drama.

Apply dramatic falsies like the ones Nikkie uses to enhance the cartoonish look.

Don't skip the blush.

Next, she takes a light pink blush and applies it to the apples of her cheeks.

Pile on the highlighter.

Since this is a cartoon look, you can exaggerate your normal makeup. Pile on highlighter to your cheekbones to make it look like you have the cheekbones of a superhero.

Apply your red lipstick.

Next, the beauty blogger applies bold red liquid lipstick to emulate the comic character's pout.

Outline your lips.

Nikkie outlines her lips in the same liquid liner she uses on her eyes and blends the edge into her lipstick.

Add highlights to your lips.

Using white liquid liner, Nikkie adds highlights to the high points of her lips.

Add depth to your pout.

To look like a 2D comic-book character, Nikkie uses black liquid eyeliner on the shadows on her face in lines.

Continue adding lines to your face.

Nikkie outlines her eyebrows, cheekbones, and jawline with the liner to create depth.

Draw on your crown.

To truly look like the Amazonian princess, Nikkie outlines a crown in black liner.

Make your crown shine.

Nikkie fills in the crown with gold paint.

Don't forget the star.

To complete the crown, Nikkie applies a star to her forehead. You can also draw on a star with makeup if you'd like.

Add a black wig and get ready to battle evil.
