3 Unexpected Ways to Be Wonder Woman For Halloween: Zombie, Cyborg, and Pop Art

When Gal Gadot put Wonder Woman on the big screen, we knew women everywhere would want to emulate the DC heroine for Halloween. If you're set on being the Amazonian princess this Halloween but don't want to look like every other girl at the party, we've come up with some original takes on her style.

With the help of MAC Senior Artist Regan Rabanal, costumes from Spirit Halloween, and hair done by DryBar, we've created three makeup iterations that will astonish your friends with your creativity and super (Halloween) powers. You can create a glam-scary costume by imagining Wonder Woman during the zombie apocalypse, dress as the heroine in a metallic-hued cyborg fashion (swearing to protect humans from the robot uprising), or go old school and create the comic-book version of the star-studded lady.

Keep reading to find out how you can dress as the iconic heroine this year while still having the most unique costume of all your friends.

Step 1: Apply false lashes to your eyes with an eyelash glue like Duo Lash Adhesive ($6) so you can be the most glamorous zombie in the postapocalyptic world. Next, use the eyelash glue and a small makeup brush to draw cuts and gashes on your face, which will make them raised on your skin. You can also use the glue to slick your eyebrow hair down and back to create a cut through your brow.

Step 2: After the eyelash glue has dried, create your undead complexion. Mix together gray, taupe, and light brown eye shadows like the hues from the MAC Basic B*tch Palette ($40) with your foundation with a mixing medium such as MAC Prep and Prime Skin Fix + ($25).

The recipe for this complexion should be comprised of about a quarter eye shadow and three-quarters foundation blended together with the mixing medium. Apply the colors to your face, neck, and body to get that gorgeous rotting complexion.

Step 3: To make the gashes on your skin look realistic, create depth by filling them in with a mix of purple and black shadow in the center of the cuts. Next, contour the hallows of your cheeks with a mixture of black and purple shadow.

Step 4: Create a smoky-eye look by applying black shadow under your eyes near the lash line and blending generously. Then apply a deep purple to your lid and blend out. To make your eyes pop, add a shimmery pewter hue to the center of the lid. Make sure to keep the shape of the eye shadow winged out at the edges to emulate Wonder Woman's look.

Step 5: To add more gore to your look, grab an old toothbrush. Dip the brush into a red Acrylic Paint ($23) and use your thumb to splatter paint onto your face. You can also take the nozzle of the paint and squeeze some out and let it drip down your face from the cuts you created.

Step 6: Finish off your lips with some red liquid lipstick (that way it doesn't smudge when you're eating brains of supervillains).

Finish off your look by teasing and messing up your strands, then get ready to defend the human race from evil zombies.

If you've ever seen those dot-covered, comic-inspired paintings, they're probably the work of Roy Lichtenstein, the famous pop art painter of the 1960s. To transform yourself into a Wonder Woman straight out of the comic books and inspired by the pop artist himself, we have the steps you need.

Step 1: Cover your face with an even application of matte foundation and powder.

Step 2: Using the end of a chopstick as a stamp, create orange dots on your face using MAC Acrylic Paint in Genuine Orange ($23). Try to evenly place them on your face in straight lines. Take them down your neck and even on your hands if you want!

Step 3: With yellow Acrylic Paint ($23), paint your crown on in a triangular shape. You can cut out a star from cardboard to use as a stencil, using it to leave room to paint in the red star. Fill in the red star and you're on your way to becoming DC-Comic royalty!

Step 4: Grab black acrylic paint to draw lines on your face. Outline your crown and create lines in any parts of your face that have indentations (similar to a contouring technique). Fill in your brows with the black paint and create lashes above and below your eyes. Finish off the look by outlining your lips and using a white paint to create highlights on your pout.

If you want to take the look to the next level, you can also use the black paint to draw lines on your collar bones and cleavage.

Step 1: To get rid of your eyebrows, use a glue stick to create an even surface on your brows. Cover them with foundation to make them disappear completely.

Step 3: With a mixture of alcohol and MAC Gold Pigment ($22), draw the shape of the number three on the sides of your face and around your chin to frame your robotic face. Make your crown by drawing a gold diamond shape on your forehead and connecting everything together.

Step 4: Purchase star-shaped jewels and sequins from a craft store to create the sparkly armor. Use red Acrylic Jewels ($3) to make the star and Foil Star Shaped Gold Confetti ($2) sequins to embellish the metal. Cover the rest of the gold with glitter.

Step 5: Apply royal blue eye shadow all over the lid, creating a wing shape on the outer edges. Next, use black liquid liner to outline the gold face frame and the eye shadow. You can also add some chest plates by making a V shape above Wonder Woman's emblem.
