Urban Decay Just Debuted Its First Metallics-Only Palette and Oh My God, It's Perfect

After years of crafting subtle eye shadow hues with a cult-like following (*cough, cough* Naked palettes galore), Urban Decay is dipping its toe into something a bit bolder and shinier. The beauty brand is soon launching the Heavy Metals Metallic Eye Shadow Palette — its first metallics-only palette — and oh my goodness, it looks like heaven on earth.

This holiday-ready product evokes the glam-metal '80s vibes we know and love, featuring 20 amped-up shades with names that relate to the punk-rock era, such as Metalhead, Acoustic, and Bass. A mirror separates the palette into two sections, with neutrals on the right and brights on the left, setting you up for all the mixing and matching your heart could ever desire. When UD's founder, Wende Zomnir, announced the exciting news on Instagram, she described the eye shadows as being "the creamiest, most amazing, shiny metallics [the brand has] ever created." We're sold!

It looks like the Heavy Metals Metallic Eye Shadow Palette will be dropping as part of a larger holiday collection that will also include brand-new glitter eyeliners and a lipstick palette. It's a tad unclear exactly when the badass line will be available for purchase, but we'll update this post with any new information once we obtain it. In the meantime, catch a few sneak peeks of the rich, decadent palette ahead.
