Meet the newest members of Tarte's blending squad! In addition to launching a foundation range that is about to send the internet into a damn frenzy, Tarte is releasing two important tools to go with it. These newbies are the Tarte Double Duty Beauty Paddle Brush ($28) and the Shaper Contouring Sponge ($18). Both launch at tarte.com on Jan. 15, at ulta.com on Jan. 21, and in Ulta stores on Feb. 4.

Set. Your. Calendar!

But let's backtrack. The aforementioned foundation is the Tarte Shape Tape Foundation ($39), which you can read all about here. Seriously, we have included every detail, from the ingredient list to the shade names and the applicators. We even reviewed both finishes in the range, explaining how well the high-coverage Matte finish covers acne and how dewy and glowy the Hydrating texture will leave your face (yup, there are "before" and "after" images in both features!).

So now, we'd like to turn the spotlight on the friendly makeup tools that will help you get your preferred "final" look. Keep reading to learn more about Tarte's magical new tools.

Tarte Double Duty Beauty Paddle Brush

The Tarte Double Duty Beauty Paddle Brush was launched to go with the new Shape Tape Matte Foundation. Since the foundation dries fast, a rep from Tarte told POPSUGAR to apply it in sections using the brush to buff it in as you go.

Our reviewer tested the Matte foundation in tandem with the brush and loved the results. She claimed the hairs felt super dense and soft, and the result gave her a full-coverage finish.

The brush's thick, flat tuft dispenses the foundation formula evenly, giving your skin a smooth, powdery texture. Plus, it's also fantastic for smoothing out the jawline and forehead areas.

The top of the brush has the same gold-and-purple chevron pattern as the cap on Shape Tape Foundation and Concealer, so it really feels like part of the family!

Tarte The Shaper Contouring Sponge

Tarte The Shaper Contouring Sponge

This little guy is pretty adorable! The unique blending sponge has a festive, two-toned purple marble print. But what really makes it stand out are all of the flat surfaces.

There are two flat surfaces on the side, which are meant to be used to blend your contour. The precision chiseled tip — which is a flat rectangle — fits into hard-to-reach spots, such as around your nose or eyes. According to a rep from Tarte, this baby gives you 360 degrees of blending coverage.

It was launched to be used with the Shape Tape Hydrating Foundation, which blends pretty easily on its own — and even easier with the sponge. To use the sponge, simply wet it with water (old school), mix it with serum (to look even dewier), or mist on setting spray (for a mattifying effect). Then, use the damp sponge to blend and press the gel foundation in.
