These Are the 13 Beauty Products Our Editors Actually Finished This Month

As fortunate beauty editors, we get sent piles upon boxes upon cases of beauty products to test — and that's all in a day's work. We take trying products seriously (as we should, given it's our full-time job). Sometimes that means swapping out face creams every week or discontinuing the testing phase because the formula just wasn't our jam.

The products ahead, however, had us in it for the long haul. We scraped the beauty barrel to get every last drop out of them because they were just that good. Some are staples we've grown up with, but others are new and buzzy. They're the ones we recycle with a little sorrow, but mostly pride. Check out all 13 of them beauties in all of their glory, because chances are you too won't have them around long, should you decide to pick one up.

Renée Rouleau Pore + Wrinkle Perfecting Serum

Renée Rouleau Pore + Wrinkle Perfecting Serum

"I sing the praises of Renée Rouleau any chance I get because the efficacy of her products never lets me down. From her detox masque to the anticyst treatment, I have plenty of R&R in my life. I recently finished up the Pore + Wrinkle Perfecting Serum ($50), which works as an exfoliant to help with breakouts and fine lines. I love waking up after using it because it makes my skin look smoother, my makeup apply better, and my pores look smaller." — Kirbie Johnson, host and senior video reporter

Isle of Paradise Dark Self-Tanning Mousse

Isle of Paradise Dark Self-Tanning Mousse

"I've found my new favorite self-tanner and I'm never looking back: Isle of Paradise Dark Self-Tanning Mousse ($29). I can't sing its praises enough. It doesn't have as strong tan smell, dry sticky, or transfer onto my sheets at night. Plus, it gives me the most natural-looking hue thanks to the color-corrector component." — Tori Crowther, assistant editor, POPSUGAR UK

Frederic Fekkai The Uplifting One Shampoo

Frederic Fekkai The Uplifting One Shampoo

"When I was younger, I used to blame my mom for passing on her flat butt, but I've since learned that no amount of squats can remedy flat hair, which makes it a far bigger disappointment. It's a good thing Fekkai's The Uplifting One Shampoo exists, then, because its volumizing polymers and seaweed extract take my hair to new heights every time I shower. Call it a distraction from my other, err, less-than-plump assets." — Kelsey Castañon, senior editor, Beauty

Memebox Nooni Appleberry Lip Oil

Memebox Nooni Appleberry Lip Oil

"Honestly, I would eat Memebox Nooni Appleberry Lip Oil ($12) if I could. (You can't.) I use a lot of lipsticks — I'm basically a professional hoarder — but this one take the cake — er, appleberry. It feels like a soft, plush coat over my perpetually chapped mouth, and it's the perfect naked shade of gloss. Remember when we all bought Beanie Babies in bulk because we thought they'd make us millionaires? Well, do that again, but for this oil. It won't make you rich, but it will make you look like it." — Alaina Demopoulos, junior writer, Beauty

Fresh The Original Brown Sugar Body Polish

Fresh The Original Brown Sugar Body Polish

"One of the first luxe body scrubs I ever experienced was from Fresh. It was a sample that came in a tiny jar — not unlike the tiny tools and utensils that are huge on Instagram nowadays — with enough product to smooth over my preteen body if I rationed it out just right. That scrub was the Brown Sugar Body Polish ($67). It smells and looks like a decadent dessert — and because of the price, it means that I treat myself to it every few months." — KJ

DHC Liquid Eyeliner EX

DHC Liquid Eyeliner EX

"I'm no Dita Von Teese or anything, but I do fancy myself a nice cat-eye every once in a while, and I've yet to find a better liquid eyeliner than DHC Liquid Eyeliner EX ($20). The pigment is next-level black, the formula lasts from dawn until dusk, and — perhaps most miraculously of all — its flexible brush tip applicator makes applying it in my zombie-like state every morning easier than ever. Can you see the tears from my not-nearly-as-good eyeliner replacement streaming down my face from there?" — KC

Virtue Labs Recovery Shampoo

Virtue Labs Recovery Shampoo

"I received a package of Virtue Labs on my desk from Adir Abergel, the brand's creative director and I placed all the products in my bag immediately so I could get home and test them as soon as possible. The Recovery Shampoo ($38) has a fragrance that's hard to describe, but it's one of my absolute favorite scents I've ever smelled when it comes to hair care. But I love the product because it includes keratin, an ingredient that's made up similar to the protein in our hair, so that it repairs the cuticle and makes it glossy." — KJ

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream

"I'm truly dedicated to Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream ($22). It works for everything, and you won't find a purse of mine that doesn't have one in it. I love it so much that when I was around three-fourths of the way done, my mom swapped me with her full tube because I can't be without. If that's not the definition of a mother's love, I don't know what is. I will continue to buy this forever." — TC

Leef Organics Nooks + Crannies CBD Soap

Leef Organics Nooks + Crannies CBD Soap

"I don't get excited about soap. It's soap! It's meant to clean my pits, and that's not sexy. That said: oh em gee, Becky, look at this soap. Leef Organics Nooks + Crannies CBD Soap ($22) kicked all of my bacne to the curb,; it comes in plantable packaging that reduces gross waste; and it leaves me smelling fresh even when a humid New York day steams me like a pork dumpling." — AD

Olaplex Hair Perfector #3

Olaplex Hair Perfector #3

"I could easily stop bleaching my hair, but then what would be the point of life? Just kidding. I like being blond, but it does do some damage to my hair. In addition to using Olaplex during the coloring process, I use Olaplex Hair Perfector #3 ($28) at home once a week. It rebuilds the broken bonds caused by the chemical treatment process, so I apply it on Sundays while cleaning the house and then hop in the shower to shampoo and condition right after." — KJ

Medik8 C-Tetra Vitamin C Serum

Medik8 C-Tetra Vitamin C Serum

"Medik8 C-Tetra Vitamin C Serum has transformed my skin. It has made my skin brighter and more even-toned, and I notice a difference if I stop using it. It's the best vitamin C I've tried so far, and I urge everyone who will listen to give it a go." — TC

Differin Gel

Differin Gel

"It's been approximately 19 months, three weeks, and 18 hours since Differin's Acne Treatment Gel ($10) first graced my skin with its magic, and it's been clearer, brighter, and better off ever since. I'm not ashamed to admit this is the fourth tube I've gone through in total, but, um, who's counting?" — KC

Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder

Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder

"Everyone loves the Laura Mercier translucent setting powder, but I personally prefer the Secret Brightening Powder ($28). It illuminates the skin in addition to setting makeup, and the finely milled texture doesn't leave my face look caked up, either." — KJ
