The Edgy Piercing Trend at the Teen Choice Awards You Didn’t See Coming

Your favorite celebs pulled out their best for the Teen Choice Awards this Sunday. While the hair and makeup looks were beautiful, of course, there was one edgy trend taking center stage that you don't see on every red carpet: standout ear piercings.

Lucy Hale and Olivia Holt, specifically, wore long pin earrings courtesy of fine jewelry designer Kat Kim. The earrings are designed to go through your pierced lobe and hook on the top of your ear, creating the illusion of a (much cuter) safety pin running through your skin. Hale wore a single bedazzeled bar, while Holt weaved two gold ones through her lobe piercings. Katherine Langford also wore a unique ear cuff that dangled from the top of her ear to the bottom lobe.
