This Is the Exact Lipstick Shade Lupita Nyong'o Wore to the 2018 Governors Awards

In case you missed it, Lupita Nyong'o arrived at the 2018 Governors Gala in a striking stark-white, 1920s-style Tom Ford gown, but what made the look even more eye-catching was the electric purple lip she paired with it.

Creating Nyong'o's lip look wasn't born from just a few sweeps of a lipstick. First, a layer of Drama Liqui-Pencil ($23) — yes, eye pencil — in Ampoule (a creamy deep purple shade) was drawn across the actress's lips as a base. Then, Rouge in Love Lipcolor ($29) in Violette Coquette (a satin plum with blue tones) was sweeped above it, topped with a L'Absolu Lacquer Gloss ($26) in Positive Energy (an electric purple gloss).
