Your Favorite Boho-Chic Designer Just Launched a Beauty Line at Nordstrom

When trying to achieve that perfect mix of bohemian and glam, there's no brand that speaks more clearly to this than Ulla Johnson. Brilliant prints, oversize tailoring, and beautiful embroidery are mainstays of her collection of boho-chic head-to-toe looks, which have become staples in the fashion set's wardrobes.

Looking at photos from an Ulla Johnson runway show, you're instantly transported into a world of easy and comfortable luxury . . . and this has just as much to do with Johnson's clothes as it does with the decisions she entrusts makeup artists to make when painting the models. For her recent Fall 2019 show in New York, models walked the runway in orange and mustard tones, a berry lip, and statement lined eyes, showing the juxtaposition between the natural and the intentionally "done up."

Today marks the launch of Ulla Johnson's first foray into beauty, through a partnership with Nordstrom and Bobbi Brown. It comprises three products — a lipstick, an eye palette, and a cheek palette — each embodying the effortlessly chic spirit of Ulla Johnson and the color expertise of Bobbi Brown.

"Bobbi Brown is an iconic, NYC-based, female-founded company with a strong emphasis on enhancing a woman's natural beauty," Johnson told us. "So on many levels it felt like a very authentic partnership to me."

What's her definition of the perfect beauty look? Simple. Is. Best.

"I think beautiful skin is the most important element of any beauty look. Bobbi's face oil is amazing and smells so good, so I would always start with that and a touch of highlighter and blush on cheeks and lids. And then for day, just some gloss on the lips or a pop of color for evening!"
