Sun protection company Supergoop is unveiling the world's first eye shadow with SPF with the Supergoop Shimmershade SPF 30 ($24 each). While you may think that sun protection on your eyelids is superfluous, you'd be mistaken. According to the Skin Cancer Foundation, one in five Americans will develop skin cancer by the time they're 70, meaning that if you aren't protecting one of the thinnest and most delicate areas of skin on your body, you could be putting yourself at risk. While wearing sunglasses with UV protection is always encouraged (for both style and function), makeup-lovers sometimes want to show off their eye shadow handiwork, even during direct sun exposure.

Thankfully the new cream shadows are silky, easy to blend, and come in neutral, wearable shades. The darkest of the three, Sunset, is a warm brown hue; the medium shade is called Golden Hour and is a warm champagne color; and First Light is an ultra pale gold. Each one can effortlessly be applied with your fingers and can be layered for a more opaque effect.

In addition to its game-changing shadows, Supergoop is also launching Poof Part Powder SPF 45 ($34), a mineral sunscreen that will protect your scalp from UV rays without messing up the elaborate fishtail braid you decided perfectly complemented your large sunglasses and sunhat at the beach (yep, you are this responsible!). The bottle has a small non-aerosol nozzle that allows you to place the powder directly onto your roots, protecting your part and scalp from the sun.

You can shop these two essential products on March 18 on the brand's website, or at Sephora starting March 29.
