Kaia Gerber Wore a Pink Bob on the Fendi Runway, and Our Festival Hair Inspo Is Sorted

Candy-colored hair was all over the Fendi Fall 2019 Couture show in Rome. While the models strutted down the catwalk, we couldn't help but notice that their marbled bobs matched their outfits perfectly. Of all the sumptuous looks, it was Kaia Gerber in a bubblegum pink wig that really caught our eye.

Hairstylist Sam McKnight is to thank for transforming the basic bowl-cut bob into a truly glamorous hairstyle for next season. McKnight has styled the likes of Princess Diana and Kate Moss, as well as frequenting fashion houses at Chanel, Burberry, and of course Fendi. As for the expert hues of the wigs, they were courtesy of exceptional colorists Nicola Clarke and Eamonn Hughes, according to McKnight's Instagram.

Creating the look was a massive undertaking. "54 Wigs cut into round bobs and dyed to match each outfit, the colors inspired by every shade of Roman Marble. Greys, pinks, apricots, dégradee from lights to darks," McKnight shared on his Instagram.

The shape and style of the bobs, as well as the clothes of the collection, was a pure homage to the opulence of the '70s and the famous New York City nightclub Studio 54. The models were literally dripping in luxury while they showed vintage-looking faux fur coats complete with massive gold hoop earrings, bolo ties, and go-go boots covered in rhinestones. The palette was full of earth tones, mostly rich shades of brown with some sweet pastel hues to keep it looking fresh and modern. The collection presented art deco elements with a subtle western influence.

We'll definitely be matching our hair to our outfit this Summer. Keep reading for every angle of those fabulous bobs – which is certainly the haircut of the season.
