Sofia Vergara's Natural Hair Color Is a Major Surprise

While you're probably used to seeing Sofia Vergara as brunette Gloria Delgado-Prichett on Modern Family, her natural hair color is actually bright blond.
When Vergara was a guest on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2012, she and DeGeneres briefly discussed her natural hair color. "When I first came to Hollywood, I put my hair really dark," Vergara said as they showed a photo of her lighter hair.
In an interview with Parade in 2011, Vergara explained the reason she had such dark hair at the start of her Hollywood career. "I'm a natural blonde, like my siblings," she said. "When I started auditioning for American acting roles, they didn't know where to put me. A blonde Latina? In L.A. they're used to Latin women looking more Mexican. But if you go to Uruguay, Argentina, Colombia, everybody is blond."
