As a beauty editor, I'm normally pretty good at putting on makeup, but I recently ran out of contact lenses and needed to wear glasses for a few days. That means that while I put on my daily eyeliner and mascara, I'm essentially blind. I have a pretty strong prescription and can't even look at my phone without glasses, so applying a perfect wing with liquid liner has been a struggle this week.

Luckily, while rummaging through the beauty closet, I found a bag of products from Able Cosmetics. The brand sells products that make applying makeup foolproof, something I desperately needed. Currently, the brand sells a pencil eyeliner, liquid liner, and mascara, which are all items that I need to take off my glasses to use.

Ahead, check out how these products helped me get an eye look while barely being able to see.

Able Cat Eye 101

One of the most difficult parts of getting ready this week has been applying liquid eyeliner. It's a step I don't like skipping, but it's also hard to get close enough to the mirror so I can see what I'm doing while struggling to get an even line. Thankfully, the inky black Able Cat Eye 101 ($27) eyeliner pen goes on fully pigmented in one swipe across my lid. When it's time to create the wing, I can use the silicone angled stencil on the cap as a straight edge to ensure my wing looks good. Even though I can barely see, I think my liner might have come out even better than usual!

Able Primary Pencil

I don't always use pencil eyeliner, but I really like to accentuate my eyes when I wear glasses. I decided to line just the bottom lash line. The Able Primary Pencil ($27) is pigmented and the formula is stiff enough to get a precise line. The liner comes with a sharpener in the cap, so I'll never have to rummage through my cosmetic bag looking for a lost sharpener when it starts to dull. The other side of the pencil features a small flat brush, which made smudging out and softening the liner easy and fast.

It's been particularly hard not to get mascara all over my eyelids and cheeks this week. Thankfully, the Able No Mess'Cara ($29) comes with a built-in shield to prevent mishaps. You simply unscrew one end to take out the wand and use the silicone end on the other side to cover your eyelid before applying. That way, you get any excess product on the shield instead of your eye.

While I may go back to my regular routine once my contacts arrive, there's no doubt that Able is so easy to use, even a makeup novice could handle it.
