Celebrity makeup artist Molly R. Stern said 2020 is going to be the year of color. Whether you want to go full-on Cara Delevingne on the red carpet or play it a little bit simpler, Stern said colorful liner is a fun way to twist the classic cat eye. "Even just a slight flick at the corners can add some playful flair."

Gloss! Liner! Lipstick! The year 2019 was a big one for lips. But 2020, according to celebrity makeup artist Melissa Hernandez, is the year of blurred lips. The look is just as bold and colorful as a matte bold lip, but a bit more wearable. "Apply the lipstick bullet directly onto the center of your lips and slowly fade the color outward," said Hernandez. "Repeat this step once more and further fade the edges using a Q-tip."

That being said, bold lips aren't going anywhere. Stern said the new way to wear your favorite bold lip is with a neutral face, similar to what she did on Daisy Ridley. "Clean swept brows, a nude eye, curled lashes, and a bold lip is a great way to bring the runway to real life," said Stern.

According to Hernandez, a "lived-in eye" look is the eye trend we need to master in 2020. Lucky for us, it couldn't be easier. In fact, this is the perfect makeup look for those who just can't be bothered. "Apply [a] shadow stick onto your eyelids and lower lash line and diffuse the edges with your fingertips," said Hernandez. "Using a black eyeliner, rim your waterline and draw a line across your upper lash line. Smudge the top and bottom using a pencil brush, add mascara, and voila." Hernandez used Sydney Sweeney as the canvas for a smudged-out look, and it has us ready to toss all our eye shadow brushes and finger paint our makeup on from now on.

For a totally revitalized beauty look, you've got to let your skin breath. Hernandez's favorite trend of the moment is letting your skin be your standout feature. To get the same look she did here on Ashley Graham requires a bit of prep work. "Prep [your] complexion with tons of moisturizer and use concealer to target problematic areas," said Hernandez. For a healthy, youthful glow, she said you can dab blush onto the apples of the cheeks with your fingertips. Meanwhile, create tiny hair strokes using almost no pressure using a brow pen, and finish off the no-fuss look with your favorite mascara and a clear brow gel. For a bit more of a glam take, add a cat eye and a nude, glossy lip.
