I've tried more beauty products than I can count (perks of being a beauty editor), but to this day, some of my all-time favorite products have come from The Lip Bar. The Black-owned brand is known for its wealth of quality lip colors — as you'd expect with the name — but in recent years, it's expanded its lineup and created foundations, eyeshadow palettes, concealers, mascaras, and more.

Of all the reds I've tried — and there have been a lot — The Lip Bar Vegan Matte Liquid Lipstick in Bawse Lady ($13) has to be the one that gets the most use. It's made with a formula that applies so smoothly and doesn't leave my lips feeling parched, and the deep-red color really does something to me when it comes to bringing out my inner boss b*tch. (It's so good, it even won a POPSUGAR Beauty Award this February.)

The Lip Bar Vegan Matte Liquid Lipstick in Rebel ($13) is my second-favorite lip color from the brand. I'll admit that darker lip colors (or, really, anything that's not a bright red) often make me a little nervous, but there's something sultry and fierce about this color that makes me never want to put it down.
