Celebrities Who Bore the Pain and Got Stunning Hand Tattoos

We'd like to think that a meaningful, well-thought-out tattoo would look good in any location, but we'll admit that we're strong advocates of hand tattoos over here. Getting a design on this area isn't the most comfortable — they're actually one of the more painful spots — but you can always count on them grabbing everyone's attention. No matter what design you get, it's bound to be the first thing someone notices when you're talking with your hands or just showing off your manicure.

While hand tattoos can look pretty dreamy on anyone, it's understandable if you'd want to look at some inspiration pictures before you decide whether you really want to take the plunge. One of our favorite hacks when trying to decide on a new hair, nail, or makeup trend is to look to celebrities who have done what we're trying to emulate. Luckily for you, there are plenty of Hollywood stars who are big fans of hand tattoos. From Rihanna to Angelina Jolie, there are several stars out there who have been able to bear the pain and walk away from their tattoo artists with some dope designs on everything from their palms to their fingers. Angelina Jolie's Hand Tattoo

Angelina Jolie's tattoo artist Mr. K gave fans a sneak peek of her latest ink on Aug. 23, and the following day he revealed the design: two geometric abstract daggers on the inside of her hands. The design is a combination of dots and lines that cover the lower two joints on her middle fingers.

Chrissy Teigen's Hand Tattoo

Chrissy Teigen got a series of dots tattooed on her fingers because, well, she just really likes them. Shortly after getting the tattoo, she joked that the dots are Morse code for "I'm tired."

Ariana Grande's Hand Tattoos

Ariana Grande has multiple tattoos on both hands, including a large crescent moon on her right hand, the phrase "baby doll" on one of her fingers, a heart on her ring finger, and the Hebrew phrase "אלד" on her middle finger. She also infamously got two Japanese characters tattooed on the inside of her palm, though that piece didn't exactly turn out as planned.

Rihanna's Hand Tattoo

Rihanna has a gorgeous henna-inspired tattoo on her right hand along with "Shhh..." on her index finger.

Selena Gomez's Hand Tattoo

Selena Gomez got a matching tattoo with her friend and fellow musician Julia Michaels back in 2019. The two have arrows pointing toward each other just under their thumbs.

Cara Delevingne's Hand Tattoo

Along with the lion on her index finger, Cara Delevingne also has her initials, "CJD," tattooed on the side of her right hand, a red heart on her left pinky finger, a wasp on her left pointer finger, and a snake on her left hand.

Demi Lovato's Hand Tattoo

Demi Lovato has a lion on her right hand along with a cross. She also has the word "me" and a smiley face tattooed on the inside of her ring finger and her pinky, respectively.

Ella Mai's Hand Tattoo

Ella Mai has a lion tattoo on her right hand.

Brooklyn Beckham's Hand Tattoo

Brooklyn Beckham has over 30 tattoos, including an eagle on his left hand, his father's birth year on his right, the word "baby," and the names of his younger siblings on a few of his fingers.

Zoë Kravitz's Hand Tattoo

Zoë Kravitz has a compass on her right hand, as well as a few other tiny tattoos on her fingers.

Hailey Bieber's Hand Tattoo

On her right hand, Hailey Bieber has a series of fine-line tattoos, including a small cursive "B," a crescent moon, and some chevron designs. Back in 2016, she also had celebrity tattoo artist JonBoy tattoo the letter "K" on her left hand and "3:30" on her right hand.

Kesha's Hand Tattoo

Kesha has what appears to be a cheetah on her right hand, as well as an eye in the middle of her palm. She also has a tiny smiley face and a crescent moon, along with a bunch of other tiny designs on her fingers.

Dove Cameron's Hand Tattoo

In 2017, Dove Cameron got an X on her pinky finger to match her best friend, Kiersey Clemons, who has an O on hers. Since then, she's also gotten a snake on one of her middle fingers, the word "she" on her ring finger, what looks to be a chandelier on her ring finger, and other tiny designs.
