Being cast in a movie like The Suicide Squad means there's a guarantee you'll have to get your hands (and face) a little dirty at some point. With this in mind, there was never a shortage of long-lasting beauty products on set that wouldn't budge even after a long day of filming.
"For foundation and concealers, I used everything from Nars and Smashbox to Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Stick Foundation ($43)," Thorisdottir said.
She typically prepped Robbie's face with the Le Mieux Ionized Oxygen Infuser ($135) before sealing it and applying base makeup that was later followed by the Smashbox Always On Cream Shadow ($22) in a handful of colors.
"We airbrushed Harley Quinn's body with Temptu S/B Foundation ($10) and we pretty much used every sealer under the sun." That includes the Ben Nye Final Seal Matte Sealer ($10) and the Kryolan Professional Make-up Fixing Spray ($10), a setting spray that Thorisdottir and the team often referred to as "the big blue" while on set.
Margot Robbie's Makeup Had to Be Removed With a Hose Every Day
Speaking of Margot Robbie's body makeup, it was just as difficult to remove as it was to apply — so much so that the team ended up having to get creative when cleaning her off at the end of filming.
"While we were in Panama, we were in the middle of nowhere and [removing the makeup] got a little challenging," Thorisdottir said. "We had to get all the face and body makeup off before sending [Robbie] home, and a little washcloth was not enough for her as it was for the other actors."
Their next best idea? A hose. "We ended up setting up a pop-up tent inside an abandoned building, brought in a kiddie pool, and hosed the makeup off with Hudson sprayers," she continued. "[Robbie] is such a sport and just laughed and went along with it."

The 1 Beauty Product That Was Used the Most on Set
When it came to products used till the last drop on set, the answer is simple: "We went through lots of Smashbox Photo Finish Primer ($38), which we used on almost all the actors," Thorisdottir said.
