Sydney Sweeney's Chrome Nails at the MTV Awards are a Nod to "Euphoria"

Sydney Sweeney took the stage at the MTV Movie & TV Awards on Sunday to accept the best show award on behalf of the "Euphoria" cast, but the glittering popcorn bucket that doubled as a trophy was no match for her shimmering chrome nails. Sweeney strutted across the stage in a soft-pink crop top and low-rise Miu Miu skirt embellished with hundreds of rhinestones. With the help of her nail artist, Zola Ganzorigt, the "Euphoria" star reflected the light of every bead and gemstone in her cotton-candy-pink manicure, a small but dazzling detail that Cassie Howard would re-create in a heartbeat.

Ganzorigt prepped Sweeney's nails using the OPI GelColor Stay Classic Base Coat before layering on one coat of OPI GelColor in Pink BIG from the brand's Power of Hue collection. Once her nails were dry, Ganzorigt applied a thin layer of OPI Chrome Effects No-Cleanse Top Coat ($14) and rubbed the layer with OPI Chrome Effects in Mixed Metals. She finished the look by applying OPI GelColor Stay Classic Base Coat. Sweeney's makeup artist, Melissa Hernandez, and her hairstylist, Bobby Eliot, tied the entire look together with a rosy cheek, matching lip, and beachy waves styled with GHD Haircare products.

On Instagram, Sweeney also shared a peek at her nails reflecting rainbows in the sunlight on her way to the award-show venue. She isn't the only star to try out the chrome-nails trend recently (See: Zendaya's nails at the Oscars and Kylie Jenner's nails at Kourtney Kardashian's wedding), but her baby-pink manicure is definitely the last push we needed to book at appointment at the nail salon.
