Saweetie Goes Full Y2K With Crimped Hair and Head-to-Toe Denim

Saweetie inadvertently gave a masterclass in Y2K aesthetics. While attending the Bel-Air season two premiere in Hollywood on Feb. 22, the "Best Friend" rapper delivered a dose of nostalgia with her crimped hairstyle and chunky highlights. "Top tier," Saweetie captioned photos of her 2000s-inspired look on Instagram.

Saweetie's glossy crimped waves cascaded past her waist and featured a sweeping side part. In addition to the mesmerizing texture of her hair, Saweetie drew attention to her new look with a set of chunky highlights. While bleach blond was most common in the early aughts, the rapper unleashed her inner tumblr girl aesthetic with ombré streaks in pink and icy blue.

For her makeup look, Saweetie wore pastel-pink lipstick and extra-long eyelashes. She also sported a three-inch stiletto manicure with a metallic finish. Each nail was embellished with red rhinestones. In January, Saweetie also rocked stiletto nails in fuchsia with rhinestone cherry charms.

Her hair and makeup were perfectly paired with her head-to-toe denim look, which included a strappy minidress with a sheer bustier, matching trench coat, distressed purse, and pointed-toe denim mules. "Doesn't get any higher," Chlöe wrote, complimenting Saweetie in the comment section alongside two heart-eye emoji.

With so many Y2K fashion trends re-entering the zeitgeist, it's refreshing to see celebrities like Saweetie reviving the beauty trends, too. Ahead, see Saweetie's look from all angles.
