"Rich Girl" Nails Were All Over the SAG Awards Red Carpet

The SAG Awards on Feb. 26 provided no shortage of beauty inspiration — from Zendaya's Twiggy-style lashes and curled bob to Jenna Ortega's shag haircut and "angel eyes" makeup, and Jennifer Coolidge's cracked chrome nails. However, there was one beauty trend that popped up on the red carpet again and again. Maybe you noticed it, or maybe it flew under your radar — as many minimal styles do — but "rich girl" nails were everywhere.

From Ortega to Ana de Armas, celebrity after celebrity seemed to be wearing the simple, chic manicure for the award show. Ashley Park matched the beige nails with her clean and sophisticated hairstyle, Aubrey Plaza's "rich girl" nails contrasted nicely with her ultra-glamourous sequin Michael Kors gown, and Angela Basset wore the manicure to complement her airy and whimsical beauty vibe.

For the unfamiliar, the "rich girl" nails trend was coined by celebrity manicurist Tom Bachik, who's notable clients include Selena Gomez, Margot Robbie, and Jennifer Lopez, to name a few. He previously told POPSUGAR, "'Rich girl' nails are a modern take on a sophisticated classic," explaining that the color is a "creamy, full-coverage nude playing homage to the greige inspiration." Since its inception earlier this year, the minimal nail trend has been on the rise, along with a handful of other barely there manicures like supermodel and milk-bath nails.
