"When it comes to skin struggles, I've got a few. I have dry skin that's also acne-prone, and it's reactive. Meaning, if it doesn't like a product I'm putting on it, it'll let me know — immediately. Usually, in the form of an angry red rash, followed up by a severe breakout. I was excited to test this brand because it's made specifically for skin like mine, and I was curious to see how it would live up to the hype. Plus, it couldn't come at a better time — my skin has been feeling the heat after an extremely stressful election this past week.
"The brand recommends using this mask one to two times a week directly onto cleansed skin. It says you can leave it on for 10-15 minutes, and then rinse with warm water. I like using it in the morning after splashing my face with water and patting it dry. I noticed that it makes my skin less red, and it feels a lot smoother and more hydrated. However, one thing I don't love about the mask is that it is a bit difficult to wash off, so I typically like to do it when I'm in the shower so I can get my face directly under the spray of water.
"Overall, I'm planning on working this mask into my weekly routine, especially now that things just got a lot more stressful." — Renee Rodriguez, staff writer and social producer
