Like most beauty enthusiasts I have a strange attachment to mascara. In my mind, I must try every formula in the universe in order to properly do my job, including Uoma Beauty's first-ever mascara launch, the Drama Bomb Extreme Volume Mascara.

The new product officially launched on Sept. 25 as an extension of the brand's highly rated eye makeup line, which, prior to this release, included an eyeliner, false lashes, and a variety of ultrapigmented eyeshadow palettes but no mascara. It comes in a white tube with details in Uoma's signature vibrant shade of red. As its name suggests, the Drama Bomb Extreme Volume Mascara claims to offer next-level volume while lengthening your lashes, thanks to an hourglass-shaped wand that grips each lash.

I gave the mascara a try on one eye (top and bottom lashes) to see the side-by-side difference. As someone who likes to add multiple coats, I'm happy to report that no matter how many times you comb the brush through your eyelashes, the formula doesn't get clumpy. The long, hourglass-shaped brush also allows you to get hard-to-reach eyelashes like the ones at the inner corner of your eye. The immediate payoff is long, fluffy, dark lashes — just the way I like them.

But the Drama Bomb Extreme Volume Mascara ($20) doesn't just deliver immediate results to your lashes — it's also made with hydrating ingredients. The formula is loaded with natural oils like castor, avocado, and jojoba to help promote lash growth in the long term. It's 100 percent vegan and cruelty-free because it uses synthetic beeswax and rice wax as opposed to the real thing. That's what makes the formula smudge-proof and flake-proof.

This may be Uoma Beauty's first mascara, but it's a 10/10 in my book.
