Whitney Peak's Bantu Knots Put a Spell on the "Hocus Pocus 2" Red Carpet

Supernatural beauty was the theme of the red carpet at the "Hocus Pocus 2" world premiere on Sept. 27. Fully embracing the spooktacular vibe, Whitney Peak, who plays Becca in the upcoming "Hocus Pocus" sequel, arrived in a dazzling sequined dress, which she styled with a sleek, Bantu-knots hairstyle. With enough power to summon the Sanderson sisters from their graves after nearly 30 years, it's no surprise Peak understood the assignment to a T.

From the front of her look, Peak's Bantu knots created a five-point crown across her head. A peek at the back revealed that the beautiful set of knots wrapped around her head from all angles. A magical look for a magical evening? Check.

While her dress was embellished with hundreds of iridescent flowers and patches of pastel sequins, Peak's makeup added a subtle darkness to the look that would turn even Winifred Sanderson's haunting snarl into a smile. Rocking an all-black manicure, Peak walked the red carpet in bold black eyeshadow that flared out from the corners of her eyes like a puff of smoke — or maybe the lingering evidence of a spell? Complete with a layer of silver glitter, her eye makeup beautifully mimicked the twinkling stars in the night sky. She kept the rest of her makeup simple with light blush and a glossy pink lip.

When it comes to red carpet events, Peak always makes sure her hair is just as stunning as her outfits. In September 2021, Peak attended the Met Gala in a Chanel dress with her hair styled in a voluminous '70s Afro. Her makeup artist completed the look with dots of neon-green eyeliner interspersed with crystals.
