7 Times Beyoncé Was Jay Z's Biggest Fan

After winning the Billboard Millenium Award in 2011, Beyoncé made sure to mention her husband in her acceptance speech.

"I'd also like to thank my best friend. I don't wanna put you on the spot [because] I know they're probably putting the camera in your face right now. But I love me some Jay Z!"

In her 2013 HBO special, Beyoncé gave fans an exclusive look at her life beyond the lights. During one scene, she tears up while giving a birthday toast to Jay Z.

"You've taught me so many things. You taught me how to be a woman. You taught me how to love. You taught me how to be a friend. You’ve given me so much in life and this is not enough. It’s not enough I can give you. I just want you to be happy. And every year, I’m even more in love with you and I want to spend everyday of my life with you. Happy birthday and I thank God for you every day."

While touring the world in 2009 during her I Am . . . World Tour, Beyoncé started a countdown to when she would see her husband. When the day finally arrived, Beyoncé was so happy she came up with a little cheer to express her excitement.

"And I am on to see my husband. I'm happy. I'm happy. I'm happy!"

In 2011, Beyoncé fired her father, Mathew Knowles, as her longtime manager. The stress of their strained relationship became too much for the superstar, and she candidly revealed that Jay Z was the best stress reliever.

"I need to listen to 'Make Love to Me' [known as '1+1'] and make love to my husband."

During a 2011 interview with the ladies at The View, former host Sherri Sheppard put the "Drunk in Love" singer on the spot when she asked Beyoncé if she became closer to Jay Z during her year off of extensive touring.

"I've always been a Jay Z groupie," Beyoncé said with a laugh.

In 2013, Oprah asked Beyoncé about her marriage to Jay Z and got the notoriously private star to share.

"I would not be the woman I am if I did not go home to that man. It just gives me such a foundation. He has helped me on so many levels. We were friends first, for a year and a half, before we went on any date. On the phone for a year and a half. And that foundation is so important in a relationship. And just to have someone that you just like is so important. And someone that is honest."
