We've compiled some of the most sought-after locales around the world where famous newlyweds have spent their first few weeks of marital bliss. Get ready for a serious case of wanderlust!

01

French Polynesia

Pippa Middleton married financier James Matthew in Berkshire, England, with Prince George and Princess Charlotte serving as the page boy and flower girl. The wedding celebration was fit for a royal, but it was their first trip as husband and wife to The Brando in Tetiaroa that truly had us wishing we could trade places with the Duchess of Cambridge's little sister for a day. Less widely known than Bora Bora, this crown jewel in French Polynesia offers the ultimate castaway experience in paradise. Michelle and Barack Obama were said to have enjoyed some postpresidency downtime there as well.

Once Marlon Brando's private hideaway, the eco-conscious resort consists of a dozen atolls surrounding a spectacular lagoon. And yes, the water really is that blue IRL! The celeb treatment begins as soon as guests land with a Polynesian musical performance. From there, they are escorted to one of 35 magnificent villas, where they will find a fridge stocked with their favorite treats, an enormous deck featuring a private plunge pool, an outdoor bathtub to soak beneath the stars, and two bicycles for exploring the island. Make like Middleton and take full advantage of fun water sports like paddleboarding, along with the Brando's wildlife discovery tours, which provide epic photo ops (keep your eyes peeled for red-footed boobies and sharks).

02

Maldives

Tara Lipinski and Todd Kapostasy's romantic wedding in Charleston, SC, looked like something out of a dream. The Olympic figure skater stunned in a strapless Reem Acra gown with a 20-foot tulle skirt. She and her husband, a Fox Sports producer, embarked on a 40-day honeymoon around the globe following their "I dos." Their first stop: One&Only Reethi Rah in the Maldives. (Actor Josh Duhamel and performer Fergie also spent their first couple of weeks as husband and wife there.)

Guests pull up to the resort on a luxury yacht. The overwater bungalows feature wraparound hammocks and tubs, providing the ideal perch from which to admire that insane cerulean water. “This place is so bananas," Lipinski captioned a photo on Instagram. Kapostasy concurred, writing, “Fairly confident that the Maldives imports large quantities of bright teal dye, because there’s no way this is natural." Once guests manage to tear themselves away from their private abode, there's diving, tennis, and hatha and Ashtanga yoga classes on the agenda. The Champagne picnic on a deserted sandbar is tops.

03

Fiji

Miranda Kerr and Evan Spiegel opted for low-key outdoor nuptials at their home in Brentwood, CA, where they said their "I dos" with fewer than 50 guests in attendance. The Australian supermodel and Snapchat CEO's biggest splurge was their ultraromantic honeymoon at Laucala Island in Fiji. Owned by Red Bull cofounder and billionaire Dietrich Mateschitz, it encompasses 3,500 acres of lush rainforests, volcanic mountains, deserted beaches, an organic farm, five restaurants, and 25 Fijian-style villas.

Accessible only via private aircraft, celebs can kick back with a cocktail far from the prying lens of the paparazzi. (Patrick J. Adams from Suits and Troian Bellisario from Pretty Little Liars also honeymooned in this remote oasis.) Guests have access to private boats for diving and fishing, a mountainside spa with island-grown remedies, a stable with trained horses, a par 72 golf course, and even a two-man submarine worth a whopping $1.7 million. Who knew you could cross off your entire travel bucket list in just one trip?

04

Amalfi Coast, Italy

The Big Bang Theory's Jim Parsons and husband Todd Spiewak are the latest A-list pair who lived la dolce vita on their honeymoon in the Amalfi Coast. They join a long list of stars who visited this Italian hotspot following their big day, including Lauren Conrad and William Tell, Reese Witherspoon and Jim Toth, and Allison Williams and Ricky Van Veen, just to name a few. Follow in their famous footsteps by indulging in pizza galore and limoncello straight from the source, visiting the legendary Blue Grotto, and soaking in those to-die-for Mediterranean views.

Le Sirenuse, a family-owned boutique hotel made famous in the 1950s by author John Steinbeck, is the idyllic home away from home. Everything from the tropical flowers to the artwork to the gorgeous pool exudes the charm of the sirens for which the hotel was named. Many of the 59 rooms feature balconies overlooking the bay of Positano. For a honeymoon meal that you'll never forget, book a reservation at the Michelin-starred La Sponda restaurant. As if the decadent, authentic Neapolitan cuisine wasn't enough of a draw, hundreds of illuminated candles make for a storybook ambiance.

05

Africa

Emmy Rossum wed Sam Esmail in an intimate yet star-studded New York City ceremony. Following the sophisticated affair, the Shameless star and creator of the hit show Mr. Robot packed up their bags for their first married adventure together: a safari in the East African country of Rwanda. Rossum gave fans a glimpse at all of the incredible creatures they encountered during their trip on her Instagram account, including zebras, cheetahs, and mountain gorillas. The awe-inspiring snapshots look like they belong in National Geographic.

Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel also opted for a wild honeymoon in Tanzania, Africa. The newlyweds stayed at the lavish Singita Faru Faru Lodge in the world-famous Serengeti Park. There, they enjoyed game drives with professional guides on four-by-fours and took a hot air balloon ride. With just nine suites featuring glass walls and private plunge pools, the property is designed to offer guests total seclusion and highlight the breathtaking landscape.

06

Seychelles

Located off the coast of East Africa, the Seychelles is comprised of over 100 different islands (mostly uninhabited) known for their crystalline waters and jaw-dropping sunsets. This Indian Ocean archipelago was a relatively unknown hidden gem until Prince William and Kate Middleton honeymooned at the 11-villa North Island resort back in 2011. Actress Salma Hayek and billionaire Francois Henri-Pinault also jetted there following their wedding as well.

Most recently, power couple George and Amal Clooney visited this blissfully isolated, 519-acre retreat following their four-day wedding in Venice. Details of their stay are scarce (the Seychelles government has laws to protect the privacy of celebrities). But at this all-inclusive property, all guests are treated like Hollywood royalty thanks to butler service, holistic spa treatments, and bespoke meals catered to your specific preferences (there are no menus). The island is a haven for wildlife, including endangered species. In fact, its most famous resident is Brutus, a giant Aldabra tortoise who is believed to be at least 160 years old.

07

Ireland

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West had one of the most over-the-top celebrity weddings in recent history. Their ceremony and reception in Italy cost an estimated $2.8 million, and that doesn't even include all of the prewedding festivities in Paris. They went an entirely different route with a low-key (for them) honeymoon in Ireland, where they went hiking in Laois County.

The Irish Times reports that the reality TV mogul and rapper spent some time at Ballyfin, a 20-room mansion with four-poster canopy beds, magnificent architecture, gilded mirrors, and priceless artwork. Outdoors, guests can stroll over 600 acres of secluded gardens or have a butler row them out on the lake. "We spent Kanye’s bday in Ireland a few years back & fell in love with it!” Kardashian tweeted. “It’s such a calming relaxing place!"

08

Turks and Caicos

For a tropical honeymoon close to home, look no further than Turks and Caicos. Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello had some fun in the sun there following their blowout bash at The Breakers Palm Beach, which featured roses everywhere and a surprise performance by Pitbull. The lovebirds chose to stay at COMO Parrot Cay, which is set on its own private island with a heavenly, mile-long beach. (Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner as well as Eva Longoria and Tony Parker stayed there during happier times.)

In addition to more traditional accommodations, the hotel offers a collection of magnificent estates (including one owned by supermodel Christie Brinkley) that can be rented out when they're not in use. Guests can get their ohm on with daily yoga and Pilates, as well as guided meditation. The Shambhala Retreat spa offers Asian-inspired Ayurvedic treatments.

09

St. Barts

After a glamorous wedding at a Santa Barbara, CA, estate — complete with two Vera Wang wedding gowns and a Ferris wheel — comedian Kevin Hart and model Eniko Parrish continued their happily ever after in St. Barts. Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo also chose this très chic Caribbean island as their honeymoon getaway after tying the knot on Necker Island. The wealthy and famous flock to St. Barts because of its powder-white strands, luxury yachts, designer boutiques, and gourmet restaurants.

The Harts checked into the Eden Rock Hotel & Villas, one of the island's most pampering properties. Get your fine-dining fix at not one, but two restaurants helmed by renowned French chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten, Sand Bar (perfect for a beachside lunch) and On the Rocks (don't miss the chef's menu, which features delicacies like smoked local lobster tartare). Eden Rock's 34 accommodations range from beach bungalows and garden cottages to themed suites. Live out your wildest vacation fantasies at Villa Rockstar, which includes a butler, private beach area and pool, fully equipped gym, state-of-the-art recording studio, and a Mini Cooper, among other amenities.

10

Riviera Nayarit, Mexico

Adam Brody and Leighton Meester got married in a hush-hush wedding ceremony back in 2014. The former TV stars of The O.C. and Gossip Girl headed south of the border to the swanky St. Regis Punta Mita Resort in Mexico for a brief but blissful honeymoon escape.

Later that same year, Eric Johnson and Jessica Simpson stayed at the same 120-room resort following their Fourth of July nuptials at the San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito, CA. The singer-turned-fashion-designer and her husband, a former pro football player, got some R&R at the hotel's 3,100-square-foot presidential villa. Honeymooners at Punta Mita (which means "gateway to paradise") can partake in treatments at the signature Remède Spa, beach yoga, golf, and much more. The resort also offers excursions to Puerto Vallarta, San Sebastián, and The Marietas Islands.
