Céline Dion Pays Tribute to Her Late Husband During Her Las Vegas Show

Céline Dion made a triumphant return to the stage on Tuesday night one month after losing her husband, René Angélil, to cancer. The first 20 minutes of her Las Vegas residency show were streamed live on the singer's website as she paid tribute to René with a slideshow of family pictures and a remarkable rendition of "With One More Look at You/Watch Closely Now."

After her performance, she gave a tearful speech thanking the audience as well as saying a few words about her husband. "Through my life, I only had highs from my husband who sat out here night after night," she said. "People thought that I was looking at him actually, but I didn't need to, because every time I closed my eyes I felt René on stage with me whether he was seated in his seat right there, in the balcony, backstage, or at home with the kids. He's always been on stage with me. And nothing will ever change that." See the full video above, and then check out her chilling performance of Adele's "Hello."
