Keith Urban's Dad Passes Away From Cancer
Keith Urban's father, Robert, passed away on Saturday after a long battle with cancer. The heartbreaking news comes just days after the country singer revealed that his dad had entered hospice care. Keith released a statement shortly after his father's passing, saying, "I've been deeply touched by the outpouring of love and support that Nic and I, and our family, have received since my Dad's passing on Saturday night. His long battle with cancer is now over and he is finally at peace. My Dad's love of country music and America set me on my life's journey, and shaped so much of who I am today. Thank you to everyone who has kept us all in your thoughts and prayers."
In the past, Keith, who recently visited an exhibit at the Country Music Hall of Fame in his father's honor, has been very open about Robert's influence on his career. He even dedicated a track off his Golden Road album to him, titled, "Song For Dad."
