Lady Gaga Is Officially Headlining the 2017 Super Bowl Halftime Show

It's official: Lady Gaga is headlining the 2017 Super Bowl Halftime Show! After a bit of back and forth — Us Weekly reported earlier this month that the "Perfect Illusion" singer has signed on to take the stage at the event, though a rep for the NFL denied the news soon after — Gaga herself tweeted the exciting news on Thursday, writing, "It's not an illusion. The rumors are true." She followed up the announcement with an Instagram snap of herself rocking an NFL crop top which she captioned, "It's a done deal! I can't wait to rock for YOU from Houston! Thank you Football fans and Music fans."

Gaga already has a bit of Super Bowl experience, as she kicked off the championship with a powerful rendition of the national anthem earlier this year. She will follow legendary Super Bowl performers like Beyoncé, Prince, Michael Jackson, and Paul McCartney — and with hits like "Born This Way," "Bad Romance," and "Poker Face" under her belt, Gaga's gig will be nothing short of spectacular.
